The Young Africans Research Academy (YARA) Fellowship Program is a prestigious one-year researcher-in-training initiative designed to equip aspiring African researchers with essential technical skills, global exposure, and dedicated mentorship. This program aims to address the research capacity gap in Africa by nurturing a new generation of scholars committed to tackling the continent’s most pressing challenges through ethical, high-quality research.
Who We Are Looking For
For our first cohort, we seek 10 highly motivated undergraduate students from Ghana who are deeply passionate about research and aspire to pursue careers in academia, research, or related fields. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the YARA Fellowship, applicants must:
- Be a third-year undergraduate student enrolled in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field.
- Have strong academic credentials and a proven interest in research.
- Demonstrate a commitment to completing the fellowship and producing a publishable research paper.
- Aspire to pursue graduate studies (Master’s/PhD) and apply acquired research skills in their career.
