Jessica, a 35 years old lady from Estonia, (a country in Northern Europe, borders the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland), has recounted her rape experience by her uncle immediately after the death of her parents. She said the several years of molestation by her uncle eventually got her pregnant and traumatised.
The lady works with a Nigerian, Angela Nwosu in Dubai.
Jessica in what looks like a conversation with Angela Nwosu, said:
” When I was fifteen years old, I lost both of my parents and it made things very hard for me. My uncle wanted me to get married at that young age of 15. So what I did was to run away. I stayed in the street like for a couple of days; sleeping there on the streets because I don’t want to get married at age fifteen”.
She recalls that she however, had to return to the uncles house because she had no choice and she was hungry on the street for days.
“My uncle accepted me but never treated me well. He molestated me and locked me in the room for couple of days. Whenever he came to the room, he took advantage of me several times by force”.
Jessica who was very emotional and crying while recounting this, said that the incident hurts her whenever she remembers it.
After the uncle took advantage of her and sexually molested her severally, Jessica said:
“ My body started changing. I couldn’t eat nor sleep. One day we went to the hospital. I discovered that I was pregnant for my uncle. My uncle said that I should tell people that it was my boyfriend that got me pregnant and not him”.
When Angela Nwosu probed further, Jessica said that she doesn’t even have a boyfriend to lie with.
She however kept the pregnancy and later gave birth to a baby boy whom she said is 10 years old now. “The boy is in my country with my friend” she explained.
Jessica recounted that it was the friend who helped her out with some money in addition to the ones she had saved from the maid work she was doing in her home town. With the money she was able to process her papers and traveled to Dubai.
“I work now (as a maid) and part of what I get, I send back to her to take care of my son”.
Jessica said that she is still owing her friend the money she gave her for the travel papers. Angela Nwosu being so kind, promised to repay the debt and make her regain her confidence again.
This is a traumatic experience that has kept Jessica at her lowest for several years. Remember she was only 15 years then and now she is 35 years old.
This story is perhaps one of the many untold incest and abuse stories in the world.
