Manchester United Statement on Bruno Fernandes Red Card

“Bruno Fernandes will be available for Manchester United’s next three games following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal. The midfielder was sent off for serious foul play during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, 29 September. Fernandes was set to miss our league fixtures against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham but will now be available for selection following the successful appeal.”

The decision to get his red card overturned after a successful appeal by Manchester United means he won’t miss the next three Premier League games against Aston Villa, Brentford, and West Ham. Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher also shared that a yellow card would have been a more fitting decision

This decision is a huge boost for Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag as his captain will be available for selection. The Red Devils are currently placed in 12th place after the first six games, having won just two, and losing four which is the worst start in the history of the club.
