Telecel Ghana has launched its annual flagship campaign to support and connect small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to growth and value-added opportunities.
Launched on Tuesday, the event brought together business leaders, partners, the media and the Telecel senior management team.
Open to all SMEs in Ghana, this year’s SME Month, under the theme, ‘Connecting Businesses: Connecting the Woman in Business,’ is packed with a comprehensive suite of offers, rewards, business accelerators, networking and capacity-building initiatives, some specifically targeted at women entrepreneurs, to drive economic growth and innovation.
“This year, we have several packages with benefits designed to elevate SMEs, with an emphasis on supporting women in business,” Tawa Bolarin, Director of Enterprise Business and Wholesale at Telecel Ghana said at the launch.
She noted that as part of SME Month, Telecel Ghana would roll out a series of industry-first initiatives to boost emerging businesses.
These, she stated, include the launch of Red Loyalty for Business, Telecel Women in Business package, a groundbreaking initiative that offers a suite of resources specifically crafted to empower and grow women-led businesses, the Women in Business webinars, connecting hustles and women 100 networking event.
The rest are sustainability initiatives, cashback on merchant fees, other loyalty and rewards initiatives.
“We believe that empowering businesses is not just a moral imperative but a strategic necessity,” Alfred Neizer, Head of SME and SoHo at Telecel Ghana said.
He said “We are excited to see the positive impact these initiatives will have on businesses in Ghana.”
