Manchester United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, is set to feature in the club’s next three Premier League games after the club’s appeal against his recent red card was upheld.
A late Tuesday statement on the club’s website disclosed this.
It was titled, “Bruno Fernandes Update.”
“Bruno Fernandes will be available for Manchester United’s next three games following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal.
“The midfielder was sent off for serious foul play during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, 29 September.
“Fernandes was set to miss our league fixtures against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham but will now be available for selection following the successful appeal.”
PUNCH Online reported that Fernandes was shown a red card for serious foul play during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, 29 September against James Maddison.
Originally, he was set to miss three league fixtures for on the direct red card.
However, following a successful appeal, the midfielder is now cleared for selection in these upcoming matches.
