Nigerian singer Spyro has seemingly taken a swipe at music executive Ubi Franklin on Instagram, following a public disagreement over a $5,000 debt.
Spyro had previously claimed that Ubi Franklin owed him the money for a gig in Ghana, but Ubi denied the allegation, instead accusing Spyro of owing him money from a car deal.
In a recent post, Spyro showcased his material possessions and expressed gratitude to God for his blessings, subtly referencing the 10% commission that Ubi, as a music executive, would typically receive.
“Franklin speaking. Sorry, I mean, frankly speaking, God has been faithful without taking no 10 percent on his faithfulness,” Spyro wrote.
In a separate post, Spyro used his success as an example to encourage upcoming artists to serve God and live a righteous life. He emphasized that his blessings come with peace and did not require any illegal activities.
“My brothers and sisters, especially to the young folks, these are evidence that serving God truly pays. You didn’t have to do illegal to be this blessed, and this kind of riches comes with peace,” he wrote.
